TOUR ITINERARY

 

DAY 01 :

Picked you up in Jakarta at 5am than transfer to south tip of Cimahi, the village located on the border and slopes of Mount Honje - Ujung Kulon National Park. The village features refreshing atmosphere and calming nature, which acts as a natural border between the village and the wilderness. This leisurely hike (3 - 5 hours)  into the lowland rainforest lets you explore a variety of tropical flora and fauna under the vast canopy. Your guide will help you spot birdlife and other wildlife along the way to Cikacang at Honje Mountain range the slope of this area the habitats of the Java gibbon, black monkey and variety of animal and birdlife, Overnight at lodge/dinner/dinner (free program).

 

DAY 02 :

After breakfast at 6am enjoy a quick hike across the lush rainforest of Ujung Kulon, You will continue your trek through the rainforest going deeper into the jungle while having a bigger chance to see wildlife there. While hiking up and down the hills heading towards the east side of the national park your guide will point out different jungle habitants and plants species for you while giving lots of explanation about the rainforest and its biodiversity. While hiking up and down the hills and crossing small rivers you acquire traditional jungle survival knowledge. If you are lucky there is also a chance to Javan gibbon, black leaf monkey, wild board are also found the Java Rhino occasionally sighted in this region - The fantastic scenery in the national park will be a memorable experience for you. Back to lodge than continue cruising to a group of mangrove island (Handeleum) offers a peaceful journey through dense, winding water channels teeming with unique coastal wildlife. Spots feature traditional wooden boats gliding past tangled root systems A green, beautiful group of mangrove islands features lush, salt-tolerant trees rising from shallow turquoise waters. Their tangled root systems trap sediment to build new land, creating serene, emerald labyrinths that shelter fish, birds, and marine life along tropical coasts. Mangrove islands provide the ultimate home for the saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus). These tidal, brackish labyrinths offer dense root systems, murky channels, and abundant prey, allowing the world's largest living reptile to thrive as an apex predatorover, overnight at lodge/dinner (free program)

 

DAY 03 :

After breakfast at 7am. Enjoy your jungle morning tour to Ciawi  than continue for trekking is a unique combination of jungle and paddy field, taking you through the hidden beauty of Ujung Kulon peninsula, you will hike more off the beaten tracks, crossing different kind of jungle paths. Walk through lush jungle trails and river to discover Leopard, Gibbon, Java eagle’s most scenic rainforest, enjoy a quick hike discover the hidden treasures of Ujung Kulon's Rainforest. Experience one of the most ancient rainforests on this with a couple hours round-trip trekking. Get in touch with the nature and explore Ujung Kulon’s biological treasures and its lush rainforest. This leisurely hike into the high to  lowland rainforest lets you explore a variety of tropical flora and fauna under the vast canopy, back than transfer to Jakarta. end the trip

WHAT TO BRING?

 If you do jungle trekking you don’t really need special clothing or equipment but there are a few useful things to bring (especially during our overnight treks) :

    Light T-shirt, long trousers and long socks for the trek (preferably in dark colors) Long trousers, long sleeved shirts or T-shirt with sweater for the evening and night time in the jungle,

Comfortable walking shoes suitable for trekking + flip flops or sandals for the camp

      sunscreen, hat, sunglasses,  mosquito repellent, toilet paper and garbage bag,swimwear, towel, dry bag for dirty/wet clothes

    flip flops for the campsite,   torchlight, binoculars ( optional ), camera equipment and battery pack,  personal items ( hygiene products, medicine) ; personal medical kit and recommended medicine like anti diarrhea medicine, dehydration salt, aspirin and antibiotic
